Effect of premolar extraction on mandibular rotation

چکیده
Various types of appliances have been tried by the Orthodontists for fixed orthodontic treatment. Irrespective appliance used main goal retraction anterior teeth in extraction cases is to keep vertical dimension stable so as not allow downward and backward rotation mandible. The aim this study was compare changes mandibular following treatment on subjects who undergone all first premolars. Pre post lateral cephalogram 25 were taken (13 females 12 males), aged 18-25 years tracings done using Nemoceph software. Parameters assessed facial height (anterior posterior), plane angle (FMA & SN-GoGn), Jaraback ratio. Student t-test make statistical comparison. Mean difference SN-GoGn(0.15 ±0.07), FMA(0.23 ±0.52), Anterior height(0.18±0.01) posterior height(0.45±0.01) ratio(0.47±0.32) did show statistically significant between pre Mandibular alter during When adequate mechanics followed desirable outcome with insignificant alteration can be achieved.

The effect of fixed orthodontic treatment with first premolar extraction on mandibular third molars angulation and retromolar space
Introduction: In most orthodontic patients, mandibular 3rd molars are in early stages of calcification, and prediction of eruption status would be difficult during the course of orthodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of first premolar extraction with moderate anchorage on angular changes of third mandibular molar after orthodontic treatment. Materials & Methods...
متن کاملAgenesis of Mandibular Second Premolar
Tooth agenesis is the most common of all dental developmental disorders. The mandibular second premolars are the teeth most commonly found missing (2.2 to 4.1%) after the third molars. There are more studies on tooth agenesis than the other malformations but yet they are limited. This article reviews the studies related to agenesis of mandibular second premolars and the underlying mechanisms be...
متن کاملMolarization of Mandibular Second Premolar
Macrodontia (megadontia, megalodontia, mac rodontism) is a rare shape anomaly that has been used to describe dental gigantism. Mandibular second premolars show an elevated variability of crown morphology, as are its eruptive potential and final position in the dental arch. To date, only eight cases of isolated macrodontia of second premolars have been reported in the literature. This case repor...

Introduction: The restoration material commonly used as core material for pulpless posterior teeth is mostly amalgam due to its high strength and low cost and it can be used with or without pin. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of post material on stress distribution in mandibular second premolar tooth by finite element analysis. Method: The stress distribution was analyzed i...
